Rajkummar Rao Reflects on His Humble Beginnings and First Paycheck
Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao recently opened up about his early struggles and how earning his first paycheck left a lasting impact on him. Reflecting on his time in high school, the actor shared a heartwarming story about teaching dance to a 7-year-old girl, earning a modest income to support his family.
Earning His First Salary
"I used to go teach dance to a 7-year-old girl at her house when I was in high school," Rajkummar revealed. "I used to get Rs 300 for training her. The first time I received my salary, I guess it was six notes of Rs 50. I was really thrilled because the financial condition at my house was not good in those days."
A Heartfelt Purchase
Rajkummar went on to share how he used his first paycheck in the most thoughtful way. "I bought groceries with my first paycheck. And when I had some money left over after buying everything, I bought desi ghee. We took great pride in having ghee on our rotis."
The actor’s story is a touching reminder of how far he's come from his humble beginnings, showcasing his grounded nature and deep respect for his roots.
